About the Position:
As an SLCN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with various communication challenges to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing tailored interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assessing students’ communication needs and developing a tailored curriculum
– Delivering targeted interventions and therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
– Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support to students
– Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions based on ongoing assessment data
– Promoting inclusive practices and raising awareness about SLCN within the school community
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy
– Experience working with individuals with SLCN, preferably within an educational setting
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders
– Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
– Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
