The Role
4myschools are seeking highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to plan, deliver, and assess lessons, as well as leading small group and individual interventions.

Key Responsibilities As a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
- Support Classroom Teaching: Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
- Lead Learning Activities: Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for small groups or individual students, ensuring all pupils make progress.
- Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing feedback to students and teachers to support continuous improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively to promote a safe and productive classroom.
- Resource Preparation: Help in the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning programs.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience in leading small group interventions or whole-class teaching.
- Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support diverse learners.
- First aid qualification.
