Overview:
4myschools are recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in the surrounding area of Chelmsford, Essex. As the successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the schools, contributing to the development and success of our students. You will need to be confident in delivering the planned activities to ages 4-11 years old and managing the behaviour and expectations of the classes you are leading.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers to deliver the planned lessons in an engaging way across Reception through to Year 6, adapting activities to suit the needs of individual students.
Lead small group activities and provide targeted intervention to support student progress and achievement.
Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and participating in pupil progress meetings.
Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or similar role within a primary school setting.
Sound understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methodologies across Reception to Year 6.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
