£70 – £90 a day
4myschools are working with a Secondary School in Wolverhampton who are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to join their team of dedicated staff. The school has a provision attached for students with SEND, namely ASD and SEMH where students require educational and emotional support. The Learning mentor will be supporting small groups of students in KS3 and the ideal candidate will be compassionate, committed and have previous intervention experience. You will be required to support learning and social wellbeing
This is a full time role, Monday to Friday working 8:30am to 3:30pm starting in September. Earning potential is based on experience between £70 – £90 a day.
As the ideal Learning Mentor, you will:
Be supporting students aged 11-14
Have previous experience supporting young people with SEND,
Be confident in managing behaviour,
Have excellent communication skills,
Be friendly, caring, and able to work well as part of a team,
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Help students overcome their learning barriers,
- Help students form better relationships with teachers and peers,
- Encourage and promote independent learning,
- Supervise students throughout the day and help keep them focused and on task,
- Ensure personal, social, emotional, and mental health needs are met throughout the day.
