An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated LSA specialising in Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) to join the team at a vibrant school in Lowestoft. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a primary-aged child, contributing to their educational development and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored support to meet the specific needs of the assigned student
- You will contribute to the holistic development of your pupil with a focus on SLCN.
- Collaborating with the class teacher and other professionals to create and implement individualised learning plans.
- Employing a range of strategies and resources to enhance communication skills and facilitate learning.
- Monitoring and recording progress, adapting support as necessary to ensure optimal development.
- Building positive relationships with the student, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a LSA, particularly with a focus on SLCN.
- Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs, or related fields – ADVANTAGEOUS NOT ESSENTIAL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and a commitment to continuous professional development.
