LSA – Speech and Language Support Colchester Essex

4myschools are looking for LSA’s to work in our Colchester based primary schools and academies.
I am working with a Primary school in Colchester who are in need of an LSA to provide Speech and Language (SLCN) support to a pupil who has ASD. You will be working 1:1 with the pupil who is joining the Reception class with the new intake of children.
You will be based in the Reception class, acting as a role model for the whole class and working as a team with the class teacher. As a LSA for Speech and Language (SLCN), in addition to assisting the child across the EYFS curriculum learning activities, you will have time dedicated to focusing on this specific development area.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, meaning that you could be permanently appointed to the role at the school at around January 2023!
As the ideal LSA for Speech and Language support, you will:
- Have previous experience of working with children – ideally aged 3-6, but other experience is welcomed
- Have provided Speech and Language support (SLCN), using specific techniques and strategies to develop this area
- Be understanding of the impact that Speech and Language delay, can have on the child and have an encouraging and positive manner when managing any frustrations
- A level 3 qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
Working with 4myschools as a specialist LSA provides you with a number of opportunities from flexible working with daily supply, contract work for up to 1 year on long-term supply, and permanent appointments. We’d love to speak with you to see how we can help you!
Pay for this role is £75 per day.

You will have a dedicated local consultant who has an in depth understanding of the schools in your area, supported by a fantastic team who are here to meet your needs every step of the way. 4myschools operates a full out of hours service and our office is open from 7am to 5:30pm.
We will always treat you as a valued member of the 4myschools team. You will have a choice of how you would like to be paid, including our PAYE with no weekly fees or employers tax costs passed onto you. We pay fairly and transparently, and wherever possible will pay to scale ensuring that we meet Agency Worker Regulations after 12 weeks with a school. You are paid weekly in arrears, receiving an online payslip with a weekly pay showing your HMRC deductions and holiday pay breakdown.
