Job Description for Music Teacher Norwich Norfolk:

We are seeking an energetic and engaging Music Teacher Norwich Norfolk, to join one of our popular client schools in Norwich. The successful candidate will be passionate and dedicated and have the opportunity to teach students across Key Stages 3 to 5. The ideal Music Teacher will be an experienced Music Teacher with QTS. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher looking for a possible temp to perm opportunity. The school is beautiful and staff are happy and supportive and has links with the London Guildhall School of Music and the Norfolk Music Hub. You will be welcomed and be part of a great team with academically high achieving students.

Music Teacher Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective music lessons for Key Stage 3,4 & 5 students.
Teach a range of musical topics, including music theory, composition, performance, and music technology.
Develop and implement appropriate assessments to track students’ progress and provide feedback on their musical development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical talents and interests.
Support and guide students in their preparation for music examinations, including GCSE music.
Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to organize and participate in musical performances, concerts, and events.
Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in music education and integrate them into your teaching practice.

Requirements for ideal Music Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in Music.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
Experience teaching music at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 level.
Familiarity with the GCSE music curriculum and assessment requirements.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full musical potential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument.
Competence in using music technology and software.
