PE Teacher Ipswich Suffolk. 4myschools are recruiting for a well-established secondary school located in Ipswich, Suffolk. The school are seeking a passionate and committed PE Teacher to join their team. The school believes in the importance of physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering students’ personal and social development. The ideal PE Teacher will be a dedicated individual who can inspire and guide Key Stage 3-4 students towards achieving their full potential in physical education.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive PE lessons to Key Stage 3-4 students, following the national curriculum guidelines.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and promotes physical well-being.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing strategies to support their individual needs.
Plan and organize extracurricular sports activities, competitions, and events for Key Stage 3-4 students.
Collaborate with the PE department and other colleagues to develop and review the curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment methods.
Ensure the safety and welfare of students during physical education lessons and activities.
Maintain regular communication with students, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Relevant degree in Physical Education or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Key Stage 3-4 physical education.
Ability to engage and inspire students through innovative teaching techniques and differentiated instruction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Experience in organizing and leading extracurricular sports activities is desirable.
