Position Overview (SEND Teaching Assistant In Grays, Thurrock):

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team and work closely with students who have diverse learning needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher, implementing individualized education plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. 📚

Understanding SEND Needs:

Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) may require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. These needs can vary widely and may include learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, speech and language disorders, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing personalized support tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges. 🧩

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, including academic, social, and emotional support 🤝
Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities 🎓
Collaborate with other staff members, including Special Education Teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure the holistic development of each student 🤗
Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s achievements and areas for growth 📈
Create a safe and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. 🌟

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable 🧩
• Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field 🎓
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 💬
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs ❤️
• A positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school community 🔄
