The Role:
As a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant, you will be at the forefront of transforming the lives of vulnerable children with SEN.
Your role will involve:
- Providing tailored support and guidance to children with SEN, many of whom may face additional challenges or barriers to learning.
- Collaborating closely with teachers and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each child.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where vulnerable children feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support and continuity of care.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and making a positive difference in their lives.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with vulnerable children on a personal level.
- Resilience, empathy, and patience to navigate the complex challenges and emotions often associated with supporting vulnerable children.
