Role and Responsibilities for YR2 Teacher Saffron Walden:

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a vital role in the education and growth of the school’s young learners. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements, while tailoring your teaching to suit the individual needs of each child. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering creative and stimulating lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assessing and tracking students’ progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and a love of learning.
Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure effective communication and engagement.
Organizing and participating in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and achievement.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably in a primary school setting.
A sound understanding of the national curriculum and assessment processes.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe and positive learning environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire young minds.
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work well within a team.
