A position has become available at a Clacton based school starting after the February half term.
Role:
The position is to teacher Year 5 to cover the current teacher as she embarks on maternity leave. The class has 30 children and a full-time and experienced class TA! The class includes a small number of pupils with EHCPs for individual needs.
As the Year 5 teacher, you will be required to plan, deliver and mark lessons that engage the whole class. You will set clear expectations for the class and work with your TA to help the class achieve, and excel these.
This position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. Induction support can be considered. The school’s prefernce is to secure a teacher to work full-time, however, they would consider a job share.
Requirements:
The school are looking for someone who can make the class their own. They want you to become part of the team. This is a school that will offer you a friendly welcome, and who have a supportive environment – this could be the school for you.
You will have:
- QTS
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered with the Update Service – We will help you apply for this if you do not already have one
- Experience teaching KS2
- Ideally experience teaching Year 5 and preparing them for Year 6
- Availability to work full time ideally
- Presence in the classroom and a encouraging, positive and can-do attitude that galvanizes your class
