Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and resilient Year 5 Teacher to join one of our client schools for the upcoming Summer Term. As the successful applicant, you will need to be confident with behaviour management, as this is a mainstream setting with a high percentage of children coming from backgrounds that may not fully value education. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is adept at setting expectations and guiding children towards them through creative and innovative approaches to lesson planning and learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of Year 5 students.
  • Utilise creative and ‘out of the box’ thinking when devising lesson plans and learning activities to engage students.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting, with a preference for experience in Year 5 or similar.
  • Confident in behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
