“Teaching has always been my passion. I am a qualified teacher with experience in another country. I moved to England 3 years ago and started working in a pre-school to learn more about English education and culture. However, I missed teaching, so I decided to apply to primary schools. I encountered a barrier. I was getting answers to my applications that schools were looking for a person with teaching experience in this country. After a few attempts, talking to various agencies, I gave up and started looking for a job as TA. Then I got a call from one of the employees of this company, Bryony. And that was a turning point that gave me hope. Bryony is a wonderful person who listened and understood my situation. Action followed very quickly. A few days after her call, I was at school for an interview!

I could not have dreamed of a better school. I have already met the children and parents. I spent a wonderful two days at school to see the resources and meet the employees. This shortlisting showcases the appreciation to the whole schools supply teacher and support staff workforce and exceptional levels of support and service they provide within school.

4myschools have nominated a teacher who throughout the covid pandemic continued to showcase an individual approach to each client, with a positive attitude that stood out from the crowd.

It was so difficult to choose just one however Claire went above and beyond in so many ways and with testimonials which stood out.

If we win this award, I know Claire will dedicate it to all supply teachers and support staff working in schools everyday
